Renault has secured multiple accolades in Diesel&EcoCar Magazine’s 2026 Used Car Top 50 Awards, reinforcing the brand’s strength across key segments of the pre-owned market. The Renault Clio was crowned ‘Best Used Small Car 2026’ and ranked an impressive second overall, while the Renault Scenic E-Tech electric took the title of ‘Best Used Medium Electric SUV 2026’ and finished fifth overall. Adding to the brand’s success, the Renault Arkana was also recognised, placing 35th in the prestigious Top 50.
The awards, determined by Diesel&EcoCar Magazine’s expert judging panel, reviewed over 1,000 used vehicles before shortlisting 50 standout models. Assessment criteria included purchase price, residual value, overall competence, and suitability for purpose.
Diesel&EcoCar Magazine Editor Ian Robertson highlighted the Clio’s appeal: “The latest Clio feels grown-up inside, with soft-touch materials and an intuitive infotainment layout. Turbocharged petrol engines deliver strong real-world economy, and the ride is more supple than many rivals. The E-Tech hybrid is a star, returning just under 70mpg thanks to its efficient petrol-electric powertrain… A stylish, efficient and thoroughly well-rounded small car that continues Renault’s upward trajectory.”
On the Scenic E-Tech electric, Robertson said: “The Scenic E-Tech electric reinvents a family favourite as a sleek, efficient SUV with excellent range and a calming, modern interior. Renault’s Google-based infotainment system works brilliantly… As a used EV, it offers strong technology, impressive versatility and low running costs all wrapped in an attractive package.”
The judges also praised the Renault Arkana, noting its blend of style and efficiency: “Renault’s coupé-influenced Arkana offers style and efficiency in a practical package… A distinctive alternative to mainstream crossovers, combining flair with everyday usability.”

The appeal of a used Renault is further strengthened through the award-winning renew scheme, recently named ‘Manufacturer Used Car Scheme of the Year’. Designed to make buying used feel as secure as buying new, renew offers market-leading peace of mind, including a minimum 12-month full-coverage warranty, 12 months RAC roadside assistance, MOT protection, key insurance, a 150-point mechanical and safety inspection, and a 30-day exchange or money-back guarantee.
Adam Wood, Managing Director and Country Head, Renault Group UK, commented: “These awards prove that the appeal of our vehicles lasts long after they have left the showroom, providing pre-owned customers not only with great value but also the technology, efficiency, comfort and usability that they need in a car. Couple this with the benefits of our renew programme, and a used Renault represents a very attractive proposition in terms of quality, accessibility and outright peace of mind.”
The Renault Clio continues to impress as one of the most rewarding small cars to drive, combining agile handling with a confident, composed feel on the road. Available with efficient petrol engines and the acclaimed E-Tech full hybrid powertrain, Clio blends strong real-world economy with the engaging character that has made it a favourite in the supermini class.
Meanwhile, the Renault Scenic E-Tech electric reimagines a family favourite for the electric era. With a spacious interior, clever packaging, the brand’s Google-based infotainment system, and a driving range of up to 381 miles, the Scenic E-Tech electric offers versatility, low running costs, and reaffirms Renault’s leadership in electrified mobility.
