The Woking team carried out the fire-up. McLaren will be the last together with Aston Martin to reveal the shapes and colors of the 2026 car – the appointment is for Monday 9 February – but next week will already be time for tests behind closed doors in Barcelona and therefore it is not surprising that today the reigning champion team switched on the Mercedes power unit to verify that everything inside the bonnet of the McLaren was working. The papaya team shared on their social channels this ‘magical’ moment that distinguishes every winter within the F1 stables. Team principal Andrea Stella applauds at the end of the clip and smiles satisfied at the end of the fire-up.
