A ray of sunshine A small positive sign arrives at Williams, at the end of a January that was truly a nightmare for the Grove team, at the center of far from encouraging rumors regarding the car for the 2026 season and absent – alone among the 11 teams – from the shakedown tests in Barcelona due to “delays on the FW48 project”. Now on the team’s official social channels the team has shown some images of the seat test carried out in the factory by Carlos Sainz. A naturally obligatory step in view of the track debut of the new single-seater, scheduled for February 11th in Bahrain, but which at least provides a concrete signal after days of speculation that is anything but encouraging. Working for Bahrain It should be remembered that in recent days we have also learned of a change to the car presentation event, scheduled for February 3rd. Originally the new livery of the FW48 was supposed to be presented ‘in person’, while now the team has preferred to organize an online event in which to show only a rendering of the car to the public. The ‘seat test’ organized for Sainz gives fans at least the hope that the historic British team, directed by James Vowles, is trying to make up for lost time. “Another piece of the puzzle”, we read in the post published on X by Williams; in a couple of weeks we will know if the ‘assembly’ work of this puzzle called FW48 has actually been successful.
Williams, there is light at the end of the tunnel: Sainz in the factory for the ‘seat test’
